Overnight/Swing Shift Residential Technician/Support Staff

Description

As a member of the Resolve Recovery team, under the direct supervision of the Program Director, the Tech/Support Staff will help facilitate clients through their daily and evening programing schedules in a residential substance abuse setting.

  • Monitors client’s behaviors and assist client’s needs during overnight shift.
  • Works directly with clients receiving detoxification services and monitors progress. Charts client vitals per physician order.
  • Supervises self-administered medications with documentation as directed.
  • Conducts supportive one-on-one meetings with clients to help resolve issues.
  • Documents observations/milieu interventions in client's electronic/paper records.
  • Facilitates evening client “wrap-up” group as needed.
  • Conducts AMA prevention and crisis intervention with immediate notification to Program Director.
  • Ensures safety of all clients through regular house checks and client rounds.
  • Completes nightly shift log and conducts morning shift report.
  • Conducts UA drug screen as directed.
  • Assists with community outings, 12 step meetings and transportation as needed.
  • Assists clients in maintaining room and facility cleanliness.
  • Participates in staff meetings, team meetings and in-service trainings.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of one year's experience in a residential/outpatient substance abuse treatment setting.
  • Experience in working with clients experiencing acute withdrawal from substances.
  • Experience and understanding of 12 Step and abstinence-based programs.
  • Excellent interpersonal skill and ability to work with individuals in a counseling environment.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to work weekends.
  • High school diploma.
  • California Driver's License and  proof of insurance.

Cook/Prep Cook

Description

As a member of the Resolve Recovery team, this position will work closely with the Program Director to plan and prepare for up to 19 clients in a residential substance abuse treatment setting.

  • Meal preparation for up to 19 clients per meal- lunch and dinner.
  • Develop menu weekly to include healthy and nutritionally balanced servings.
  • Pre-prepare meals for reheating prior to days off.
  • Ability to prepare special vegetarian alternatives if need/requested.
  • Orders food in accordance with provided budget.
  • Keeps kitchen clean and organized. Sanitizes equipment, utensils, and dishes.
  • Prepares and serves daily afternoon snacks.
  • Stocks deliveries in pantries and refrigerators/freezers.
  • Monitors food for expiration date and spoilage disposal.
  • Understands and complies with food safety and temperature standards.
  • Prepares food for outings / special events as needed.
  • Maintains professional working relationship with staff and clients.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of one year's experience in food service.
  • Experience in a substance abuse treatment setting is a plus.
  • Professional culinary training is also preferred but not required if there is sufficient experience in the food service industry.
  • Strong organization skills and the ability to work with a diverse client and staff population.
  • Flexible, with the ability to work some weekends.
  • California Driver's License and proof of insurance.
