One-on-one Treatment

Our treatment team works one-on-one with our clients to create a highly customized treatment plan that addresses and supports all of a woman’s needs. Together we establish realistic goals and expectations to ensure success in recovery. Many who suffer from substance use have additional, underlying issues that we want to help address. Everything we do — from therapy to yoga and spirituality — is designed to maximize each woman’s chance to achieve a healthy, self-sustaining life.

Designed Uniquely for Women

Our services are geared especially for women by women. Among the members of our highly trained professional staff are women who are successfully recovering from addiction themselves and can share their personal insights into the recovery process.  We know that the issues women in recovery face are different from those of men. As such, Resolve Recovery focuses on the unique issues each woman faces. Our groups, counseling and even extracurricular activities are tailored to help each woman succeed.

A Safe Harbor

We offer a safe place to share. Achieving full recovery involves confronting the past: experiences, relationships and choices that, for better or worse, have brought us to our present circumstances. An important aspect of treating substance use disorders is confronting and coming to terms with feelings and self-perceptions that can fuel long-term substance use and hinder recovery. Such issues may include:

  • Feelings of inadequacy, guilt and shame
  • Physical, sexual and psychological abuse
  • Nutrition
  • Trauma and domestic violence
  • Self-esteem

Resolve's Three Pioneering Features

In addition to our highly trained professional staff and services, Resolve Recovery incorporates three pioneering features:

Our services are gender-responsive. Resolve Recovery programs and services are strengths-based, trauma-informed, holistic and culturally competent — by women, for women. We know that addiction affects women differently than it does men. Thus, all aspects of treatment are gender-responsive. This means that they’re based specifically on research and knowledge of a woman’s unique strengths, emotional and physical development, and any associated risk factors that may play a part in recovery.

We help women with co-occurring challenges. Resolve Recovery recognizes that a woman seeking treatment for an addiction often faces multiple problems that can be physical, emotional, social or relationship-based in nature. All of these issues must be addressed to ensure her successful rehabilitation and recovery. Resolve Recovery takes a holistic approach to treatment, addressing a woman’s substance use and her mental health in a fully integrated, comprehensive manner. This is also referred to as a dual diagnosis, and our clinicians are experienced in supporting women who are overcoming both issues.

We address underlying trauma. Many women begin using drugs or alcohol to help with the pain of past trauma. Our programs are tailored to address the underlying issues of past trauma in a safe and supportive way. Evidence-based groups teach new coping skills, while the therapist helps each woman address the emotional impact that past trauma has had on her life and relationships. The team psychiatrist is also available for medical evaluation and management.

Resolve Recovery is managed by Prototypes, an innovator in the women’s recovery community. We completely understand the unique challenges faced by women whose lives and the lives of their families are turned upside down by substance use and its associated traumas. Prototypes has been providing effective, high-quality treatment services since 1986.
